On making a decision, that is. With the impending arrival of another child into the family, I think it is time that I hang up my BDU cap and join the ranks of "military wives". Granted, I am already a military wife, but I also have proudly served in the Active Reserves, sometimes for as long as four or five months at a time.
I have done a lot of praying about this decision, and am led to believe that the sun is setting on this chapter of my life. I will still be in the Ready Reserves, but without most of the obligations I have now. I wish I could be a great Airman and a great mom at the same time, but I know from experience, and from knowing myself, that I am better at one or the other, but not both at the same time. And my priority is with my kiddos. I want to be the one to raise them, to watch them grow, to guide them... and that is why I am making this decision.

Cherlyn...the Lord will bless..you will always carry the sense of pride with you that you have indeed served-that will never go away. Now, you can add to that the pride in knowing you gave your little one's your all :)
